Cloth Fair

Creating this model of Cloth Fair in the City of London was quite a journey. Half of the buildings in the street were demolished between 1916 and the late 1950s so every house has been meticulously researched from maps and photos dating from around the turn of the last century. Even contemporary street directories were examined to confirm the names on the shop signs.

The model was constructed as a diorama to fit exactly into an existing space in the client’s home. It included hand made vehicles, figures and LED lighting which provided a wonderful atmosphere to the piece.
